2026 Spring Season Registration is Open Now!
The spring season is always an exciting time to play softball among friends at Escondido Girls Softball League (EGSL). It's our most popular season and a great opportunity for players to continue to build on their skills and experience. While there is significant focus on fundamental skills, the season remains competitively fun with intra-league games playing other teams involved in the league.

Eligibility: EGSL will be forming teams in the 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions.
Division Birth Years: The division of play is determined by birth years as follows:
- 6U: September 1, 2018 - August 31, 2021
- 8U: September 1, 2016 - August 31, 2018
- 10U: September 1, 2014 - August 31, 2016
- 12U: September 1, 2012 - August 31, 2014
- 14U: September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2012
Play Up/Down Requests: You first must register with the correct birth date in the applicable division. Requests to play-up or down can be submitted electronically using the 2026 Play-Up/Down Request once registration is complete.
Sister Acts: Sisters playing in the same age division will automatically play on the same team unless the parents
have previously requested in writing that they play on separate teams and with Board approval.
Legal guardianship and/or custody may be required, prior to tryouts, of anyone wishing to qualify as
non-sisters living in the same house as sisters.
Divisions 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U will start with an on-field evaluation in early January. All players may go through the evaluation process, which allows the league to rate skill levels. These evaluations allow for the teams to be evenly drafted by our coaches. Every player who registers will be placed on a team. Drafting of the team occurs in early January and coaches will contact their teams shortly thereafter.
