The Select program was developed by USA softball with the intent to allow high-performing girls to practice and play together in a more competitive environment, once a week (Sundays), during the spring recreation season. We encourage players who aspire for a higher level of play, who enjoy the sport, are interested in improving their skills, and who are dedicated to participating in the program, to come to the evaluations and tryout.
Players for Select are chosen by participating in a tryout and evaluation process. EGSL intends to form Select Teams for 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U divisions however the final number of teams formed and/or players on each team will be determined based on player interest, coach selection and results of the evaluation. Eligibility: Players must be registered for the Spring Season to be eligible to tryout for Select.
Fees: Participation in Select requires an additional player fee. Other costs may incur and are dependent upon tournaments entered, games played and travel required.
